House Finding Trip

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

Now that I have everybody’s attention with the cute baby picture, I can tell the boring story of our trip to Columbus, OH to find a house. Gavin got to go swimming in the hotel pool which was the most fun event of the trip, and we found a rather plain 3 bedroom split level house to rent for the first 6 months in Columbus. The trip primarially consisted of frantic running around while trying to keep Gavin happy and safe. He really enjoyed eating out and looking at all the people at the restaurants, but is very tired of the car seat. We saw a few properties to potentially buy, but nothing that really caught our eye. The good news is that we finally have a destination address, which will help us to sleep at night.
More house searching events later.

Change is the only constant.

After much thought and consideration, I have accepted a new position at NBBJ, a large international architecture firm based out of Seattle and Columbus, with smaller offices all over the world. Having spent the last 7 years at D+P it was a difficult decision, but the opportunity is too good to pass up. It also means that we will be moving to Columbus sometime in the near future, and bidding farewell to Chicagoland. Right now all our contact info is the same, and we will continue to post onto this site as things change.

ok, so Flickr would be easier. Posting images is just easier than writing posts. Say HI to the whole clan!
